Atlas der Humananatomie

The Human Anatomy Altas contains full female and male 3D models to study gross anatomy.
It shows 3D views of key organs at multiple levels.
It has over 120 histology slides that show cells and tissues to help you better understand the morphology of anatomy.
Also there are brief animations and illustrations that explain core physiology and common conditions.
To learn muscle actions, bone landmarks, attachments, innervations, and blood supply there are muscle and bone models that you can move.

To use it you must be inside the wifi of the University or be logged in via VPN.


CINAHL

Subject: medicine / nursing

CINAHL is the electronic form of the "Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature". All English-language nursing journals, the publications of the American Nurses Association and the National League for Nursing are usually evaluated here.

For the specialty nursing and health sciences you will find monographs, "gray literature" (not published by an official publisher), audiovisual material, theses and selected congress reports.

Cochrane-Library

The Cochrane Library  is an important database in medicine.

It contains reviews that include studies and research results dealing with therapeutic questions relevant in practice.

DIN standards

The ZHB is a standard memory for currently valid DIN standards without VDE standards.

There is a PC with read-only access and without authorization to save or print.

The Technical University has acquired and expanded access, including saving and printing for its members and students.

Online Contents

The database Online contents  provides:

Around 50 million article titles from different subject areas with a focus on natural sciences and economics (Jan. 2023).

Scientific journals from the year of publication 1993 onwards are evaluated.

Online contents is a freely accessible database. After having registered in our library and for interlibrary loan you can order articles here using the button "Copy request".

The button appears if an article is not freely accessible online.


JoVE

JoVE is a peer-reviewed video journal and offers an extensive collection of videos for conducting experiments.

Medline / PubMed

Medline is the most important and comprehensive article database in the entire field of medicine, including dentistry, veterinary medicine, public health, as well as peripheral subjects such as biology, biochemistry and psychology.

More than 5,600 journals are rated (2017), the reporting period goes back to 1947.

The content of these articles is categorized according to so-called Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), which you can best use for a thematic search.

PubMed contains all Medline data, including the most current data that has not yet been fully categorized, as well as additional material, in particular from e-books and full texts.

Research in PubMed is free of charge.

PsycArticles

PsycARTICLES  is the full text database of the American Psychological Association (APA).

This online database contains more than 200,000 peer-reviewed articles from around [Link] 135 journals (02/2016) by APA and other leading publishers and organizations.

Posts from 1894 to the present day are collected with weekly updates.

In Psyc Articles you will find articles from all areas of psychology, including basic research.


PsycInfo

PsycINFO  documents journal articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, research reports, case studies, etc. in relation to psychology and relevant relevant areas such as psychiatry, sociology, educational science, anthropology, pharmacology, physiology, criminology and linguistics.

 

Around 2500 journals are evaluated. In total there are about 60,000 new entries in weekly updates every year.

Statista is a portal that records statistical data from various sources.

It is one of the largest statistics portals worldwide on the Internet and offers access to relevant data from more than 22,000 sources (April 2020 from the website).

Web of Science

Subject: Interdisciplinary biology, chemistry, computer science, medicine, natural sciences in general, pharmacy, physics, sociology, general technology

 

Web of Science  (formerly Web of Knowledge) offers parallel and interdisciplinary research in a variety of databases via a standard search interface (cross search).

Among other things, it contains: InCites / Journal Citation Reports

 

Importent: Web of Science is only licensed for the University.

You have problems please install the Pulse-secure-VPN. Use the link given in the first paragraph. After installing the software you have to make a new connection. You can give it any name and at server-URL you have to type " sslgate.uni-luebeck.de ". After that you need your IDM-name and password to use the VPN.

Wiso is one of the central databases for economics and social sciences, which contains a large amount of German and English literature. The database consists of various parts / modules and offers references, full texts and company information.

Subject: technology

 

WorldWideScience.org  is a global science gateway consisting of national and international scientific databases and portals" (from the website).

For this gateway it is said that databases are accessible here that were not indexed by Google, the common “market leader”.

According to the operators of the U.S. Department of Energy and the British Library, the search engine collects more than 200 million documents worldwide with a focus on technical topics.
